About Me

Joined Royal Marines in January 1968.  On passing out, which I missed due to playing Rugby for the Corp Colts, was drafted to B Company, 40 Cdo in Singapore.  Had great 18 months, Sucba Diving, competition swimming and playing rugby oh and doing some work.  Due to my diving interests and on request was drafted back to RM Poole after my tour of duty.  Qualified in SBS in February 1971, spending my remaining time in the service at RM Poole and out and about.

Swam, waterpolo and played rugby for units and achieved Far East RN and UK RM sprint swimming champion during my service.

Left Marines in 1976 where I went to seek my fortune deep sea diving in the North Sea.  Spent 20 years in the diving industry.

Moved to North Devon in 2006 where I was captured by the Royal Marine Association.  Have found being part of the RMA has rekindled my enthusiasm and interest in all the the Corps stands for.  I am now serving on the branch committee and write bitties for the Globe and Laurel on behalf of the branch
